Our FRM team helps clients navigate complex financial risk challenges by offering a wide range of advisory services. From risk governance and regulatory reporting to model validation and derivative valuations, we work at the intersection of strategy, finance, and compliance for banking and insurance clients.
As an intern, you may support on:
Preparing client deliverables and proposals
Conducting industry and regulatory research
Analyzing financial risk models (e.g., Basel III, IFRS 9)
Supporting internal projects and presentations
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

As an intern with The Lighthouse (Data &amp; AI) team, you will support one of our core services, which include:

Digital Solution Architecture Development: Providing technical support to drive digital transformation and next-generation architectures.

Depending on your background and interest we can define your focus areas and responsibilities together. In your role you, you will typically support some of the following activities:
Performing research: conduct in-depth research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive analysis. Present your finding to the team, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decisions and business development.
Conduct experiments / proof-of-concepts: Design and implement innovative experiments to test new ideas, algorithms, and solutions. Analyze results and provide actionable recommendations for improvements and next steps.
Collaborating with teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analysts. Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Documentation and reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of project work, methodologies, and findings. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentation to communicate results to stakeholders.
Creating marketing material: Develop and design engaging marketing content to promote The Lighthouse's services. This includes writing articles, creating compelling presentations, and designing eye-catching infographics that showcase our capabilities and achievements.

As an intern at KPMG in Digital Risk Management - DA, you’ll be involved and gain experience in SOC1 report for our largest attestation client. As an intern, you will:
Participate in Mandatory Trainings.
Understand the fundamentals of SOC1 reporting, including its necessity and specific components. Collaborate with fellow interns to learn and share your insights with our Core Team; and get the opportunity to promote your visibility within the DRM team!
Dive into the practical aspects of SOC1 reporting. Learn about our sampling strategy, testing methods, key documentation practices, and the internal tools we use.
Learn how the testing procedures you perform contribute to the final SOC1 report shared with our client.
You will be guided by someone who was intern with us last year as well and onboarded as 'team member'.

Monitoring the administrative organization and the internal control.
