What will you do:


As a Senior Advisor - Cloud Security Specialist within KPMG’s technology practice, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact security transformations and strengthening our growing cloud security capabilities across the Benelux region. Your primary focus is on leading and delivering client engagements, while actively contributing to the expansion of KPMG’s security practice and supporting its strategic growth ambitions.


You will work with organizations across industries such as financial services, public sector, and energy & utilities, helping them design and implement secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments. By combining deep technical expertise with strong client engagement skills, you will drive both delivery excellence and business growth.


Your responsibilities will align with one or more of the following key focus areas:

  • Project delivery & client impact: Lead end-to-end cloud security engagements, translating business and regulatory requirements into secure architecture and overseeing implementation. Act as a trusted advisor to ensure alignment between security, business goals, and compliance, while delivering measurable client value.
  • Security capability development: Contribute to strengthening KPMG’s security practice by enhancing methodologies, developing reusable assets, and coaching team members to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Business development contribution: Support growth by identifying opportunities within ongoing engagements, contributing to proposals, and helping shape client discussions to expand KPMG’s footprint.
  • Collaboration & leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams and international colleagues, while supporting junior team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • You have strong hands-on experience in cloud security architecture and engineering, combined with deep expertise in identity and access management, data protection and governance, and modern security operations, grounded in zero trust principles and secure cloud design frameworks.
  • You have a solid understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO, NIST), with the ability to translate requirements into effective technical controls.
  • You have a proven track record in leading end-to-end security projects in a client-facing environment, consistently meeting targets and delivering high-quality results in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
  • You can translate business needs into secure, scalable architectures and solutions, balancing security, usability, and performance.
  • You possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with fluency in Dutch or French and English, enabling you to operate effectively in multicultural and international environments.
  • You have experience coaching and mentoring team members, contributing to capability building and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, complemented by industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, cloud security certifications) or equivalent practical experience.
