As part of our CFO Advisory practice, you’ll collaborate with professionals from different areas to support CFOs on their transformation journey — helping Finance evolve into a strong and trusted partner to the business. With a pragmatic and client‑centric mindset, we help organizations drive sustainable growth and long‑term value.

Our Financial Reporting and Accounting Advisory team is looking for several Senior Consultants to strengthen our practice and support CFOs in creating value from increasingly complex financial reporting and capital markets challenges.

As a Senior Consultant CFO Advisory – Financial Reporting and Accounting Advisory, you will work closely with colleagues across CFO Advisory and the wider KPMG network to support clients facing a wide range of financial reporting and communication challenges. These include deal and post‑deal accounting, consolidation, IPO preparation, special financial statements and carve‑outs, complex structuring, IFRS conversions, adoption of new standards, ESG reporting, and more.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop expertise in sector‑specific accounting challenges.
  • Support clients with thorough technical accounting analysis.
  • Contribute to shaping their financial and non‑financial communication, making a meaningful impact.
  • Participate in practice and business development initiatives, helping expand the CFO Advisory footprint in the Belgian market.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit, with exposure to IFRS or capital markets.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to tackle complex accounting matters.
  • An interest in understanding the substance behind transactions and how they translate into financial insights.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to grow knowledge of ESG and ESG reporting (experience is a plus but not required).
  • Skills such as conceptual and practical thinking, clear communication, collaboration, creativity, and eagerness to learn.
  • Motivation to remain up to date with IFRS and ISSB developments.
  • Fluency in English and either Dutch or French (written and spoken).
