What will you do:

 

As a Senior Advisor – Cloud Infrastructure Specialist within KPMG’s technology practice, you will play an important role in delivering complex cloud transformation programs and strengthening our growing cloud infrastructure capabilities across the Benelux region. Your primary focus is on leading and delivering client engagements, while also contributing to the continued growth and development of KPMG’s infrastructure practice and its strategic ambitions.

You will support organisations across industries such as financial services, the public sector, and energy & utilities in designing, building, and optimising scalable, resilient, and compliant cloud environments. By combining strong technical expertise with well‑developed delivery capabilities, you will help clients accelerate their cloud journey while ensuring performance, cost efficiency, and regulatory alignment.

Your responsibilities will align with one or more of the following key focus areas:

  • Project delivery & client impact: Lead cloud infrastructure engagements from end to end, designing scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient solutions. Guide cloud migrations and transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards. Act as a trusted advisor to clients and support the delivery of successful and sustainable project outcomes.
  • Infrastructure capability development: Contribute to building and scaling KPMG’s cloud infrastructure practice by developing methodologies, reusable assets, and best practices. Help ensure consistent delivery quality and support the strengthening of the overall market offering.
  • Channels (business development): Identify and develop opportunities within existing engagements, contribute to proposals, and support client discussions. Your input helps grow KPMG’s cloud infrastructure footprint and strengthen the future pipeline.
  • Collaboration & leadership: Work collaboratively across teams and regions to promote a unified and inclusive delivery approach. Support junior colleagues and encourage continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • You bring strong hands‑on experience in cloud infrastructure architecture, engineering, and operations, including design of scalable, resilient, and high‑performing cloud environments across hybrid and public cloud platforms.
  • You have experience with cloud cost optimisation and FinOps principles, helping organisations gain visibility into cloud consumption, optimise workloads, and improve cost efficiency while maintaining performance and scalability.
  • You have solid experience contributing to application modernisation and cloud transformation programs, including migrating and refactoring legacy workloads into modern, cloud‑native architectures.
  • You have strong knowledge of cloud governance and landing zone design, supporting the creation of secure, compliant, and regulation‑aligned cloud environments in complex and regulated contexts.
  • You have a good understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST), and are able to translate requirements into robust and effective infrastructure controls and architectures.
  • You have experience delivering end‑to‑end cloud infrastructure projects in a client‑facing environment, achieving high‑quality outcomes while working in fast‑moving and dynamic environments.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, complemented by industry‑recognised certifications (e.g. Azure and/or AWS/GCP certifications, FinOps, or infrastructure‑related certifications) or equivalent hands‑on experience.
