What will you do:

As a Senior Advisor – Cloud Security Specialist within KPMG’s technology practice, you will play a meaningful role in delivering high‑impact security transformations and strengthening our growing cloud security capabilities across the Benelux region. Your primary focus is on leading and delivering client engagements, while also contributing to the continued growth and development of KPMG’s security practice.

You will work with organisations across industries such as financial services, the public sector, and energy & utilities, supporting them in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments. By combining strong technical expertise with well‑developed client engagement skills, you will help ensure delivery excellence while supporting sustainable business growth.

Your responsibilities will align with one or more of the following key focus areas:

  • Project delivery & client impact: Lead cloud security engagements from end to end, translating business and regulatory requirements into robust and well‑architected security solutions, and guiding implementation. Act as a trusted advisor by ensuring alignment between security, business objectives, and compliance needs, while delivering tangible and measurable value for clients.
  • Security capability development: Contribute to the ongoing development of KPMG’s security practice by improving methodologies, creating reusable assets, and sharing knowledge with colleagues. You will support and coach team members to foster consistent, high‑quality delivery and professional growth.
  • Business development contribution: Support the growth of the practice by identifying opportunities within existing engagements, contributing to proposals, and helping shape meaningful client conversations that expand KPMG’s impact and relationships.
  • Collaboration & leadership: Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and international colleagues, while actively supporting junior team members. You will help create an inclusive, supportive environment that encourages continuous learning, innovation, and diverse perspectives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • You bring strong hands‑on experience in cloud security architecture and engineering, combined with solid expertise in identity and access management, data protection and governance, and modern security operations, grounded in zero trust principles and secure cloud design frameworks.
  • You have a good understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR, ISO, NIST), and are comfortable translating requirements into effective and practical technical controls.
  • You have experience leading end‑to‑end security projects in a client‑facing environment, delivering high‑quality outcomes while navigating dynamic and fast‑changing contexts.
  • You are able to translate business needs into secure and scalable architectures and solutions, finding the right balance between security, usability, and performance.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, and are fluent in Dutch or French and English, allowing you to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.
  • You enjoy supporting and mentoring colleagues, contributing to capability building and helping foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, complemented by industry‑recognised certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, cloud security certifications) or equivalent hands‑on experience.
