Public and private organizations are increasingly exposed to energy market trends. European decarbonization targets are pushing organizations to accelerate the energy transition while volatile energy prices and security of supply concerns urge organizations to critically assess their current energy mix. Energy costs are monitored closely and alternative energy contracts & self-generation opportunities are explored actively. Many organizations however do not yet apply a coordinated and long-term approach across their entities/sites. They wish to further professionalize their energy management by articulating a sound energy strategy, a consolidated action plan and clear governance structure. We are looking for an ambitious Senior Manager with capabilities to support organizations in (1) the definition of their long-term energy strategy, (2) the identification of energy management risks and related mitigation actions and (3) the articulation of a renewable energy sourcing strategy, including corporate Power Purchase Agreements.
Your challenges
- You are responsible to further develop the KPMG energy management and energy sourcing practice in Belgium, primarily in terms of service offering but also in terms of go to market initiatives.
- Operationally manage energy management projects, encompassing for example the articulation of energy strategies and end-to-end execution of corporate Power Purchase Agreement activities.
- Develop new value propositions that emerge from trends on the energy market, burning customer challenges and insights from other practices at KPMG while leveraging on your in-depth experience of the energy market.
- Seek and actively manage the relationship with the energy management ecosystem of technical engineering desks and energy management tools.
- Operationally coordinate a team of highly motivated professionals
and provide on the job training in energy market mechanisms to our team of young professionals - Build and maintain your internal network within KPMG, both nationally and internationally with the perspective to raise awareness regarding the value proposition and co-create opportunities.
