Roles & Responsibilities

At KPMG Forensic & Compliance, we assist clients in resolving complex and high-value challenges by offering a wide range of services in fraud investigations, compliance management, third-party risk management (TPRM), and more. We help clients prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, misconduct, and non-compliance issues, providing robust advice to navigate various scenarios. Our team combines expertise in risk management, investigations, intelligence, economics, accounting, law, and technology with deep industry knowledge to deliver practical solutions.

KPMG Forensic & Compliance specializes in the following areas:

  • Preventing and detecting fraud or financial crime
  • Investigating fraud, misconduct, and corruption
  • Tracing funds, assets, companies, and individuals
  • Resolving commercial or deal-related disputes
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance (Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Sanctions, Embargoes, etc.)
  • Enhancing Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)
  • Focusing on ESG Fraud/Integrity issues
  • Managing reputation risk related to buying or selling a business
  • Governing intellectual property and contract compliance

 

As a member of our team, you will lead short- and long-term forensic projects in both public and private sectors, covering various competence domains, including:

Fraud Investigations:

  • Understanding investigation objectives
  • Conducting detailed inquiries and examinations
  • Utilizing data analytics techniques to support investigations
  • Summarizing investigative work and findings in forensic reports
  • Recommending remedial actions to prevent future incidents

Fraud Risk Management:

  • Identifying fraud and misconduct risks
  • Assessing the maturity of anti-fraud programs
  • Improving and designing anti-fraud programs
  • Utilizing data analytics to prevent, detect, and respond to fraud and misconduct

Compliance Management:

  • Assessing and enhancing compliance management programs
  • Updating compliance programs to meet new regulations
  • Addressing Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) concerns
  • Handling international and regional Sanctions concerns
  • Using economic arguments to support clients in regulatory disputes and negotiations

Contract Compliance:

  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions
  • Verifying third parties' compliance with contractual obligations

Commercial or Deal-related Disputes:

  • Providing (accounting) advice and expert witness evidence for dispute resolution processes

Skills & Qualifications

  • You hold a Master's in business economics, business administration, management science or business engineering with a background or courses in Audit and/or Accountancy.
  • You have a broad interest in forensic accounting, fraud risk management & compliance and you like a project-based working environment.
