Are you interested in the energy transition and how this affects not only companies but also their day-to-day operations and infrastructure? Or curious about water management in Flanders? Or perhaps you'd like to help companies with their corporate real estate challenges? Then we're looking for you! At KPMG Advisory, we’ve built a dedicated team within Sustainable Infrastructure & Physical Asset Management.

We support clients, from energy and water utilities to ports, airports, and local governments, in navigating the complex challenges of infrastructure renewal, energy and water management, and corporate real estate.

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our team and contribute to projects where innovation meets purpose.

 

What you’ll be working on:

  • Assisting in the development of physical asset management strategies and target operating models for clients in sectors like energy, water, transport, and public infrastructure.
  • Helping to develop and apply data-based techniques for infrastructure and asset analysis.
  • Supporting the definition and improvement of asset management processes and procedures.
  • Supporting companies with their strategic energy management and renewable energy projects.
  • Developing portfolio optimization strategies for corporate real estate and providing strategic support for IWMS implementations. 
  • Acting as an ambassador for KPMG’s innovative work in physical asset management.

Skills & Qualifications

You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a STEM-related discipline and are eager to apply your knowledge in a business and consulting context. Typical backgrounds include:

  • Business Engineering.
  • Civil Engineering.
  • Industrial Engineering.
  • Economics.
  • Computer Sciences, Physics, or other technical-scientific studies with a clear interest in infrastructure, sustainability, or economics.

While academic qualifications are important, there are several other main competences we highly value, including:

  • You're a fast learner and adaptable to different applications.
  • You're client-focused and have great orientation skills.
  • Enthusiasm about working in a project-based environment.
  • A natural ambition and high motivation.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

We offer

We offer an internship with a duration between 5 and 12 weeks, depending on your academic schedule and availability, in our Zaventem HQ. The duration and the work schedule (full time/part time) can be determined in mutual consultation.
