As an IT Project Manager in the Public Sector, you will be the driving force behind managing innovative IT projects. You will play a key role in coordinating teams and implementing flexible methodologies to meet the rapidly evolving needs within the public sector.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Leading multidisciplinary teams in delivering IT strategic projects, ensuring adaptability, continuous improvement, and alignment with project objectives.
- Leveraging expertise in IT strategy and architecture to align project objectives with the client’s broader digital transformation goals.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, providing actionable insights and recommendations on IT systems, processes, and governance structures.
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, prioritizing tasks based on client and stakeholder needs, while ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term digital vision.
- Integrating advanced technologies, such as AI, into project plans to enhance operational efficiency and deliver sustainable results.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships by serving as a bridge between technical teams, business units, and external partners to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulations, and safety protocols in line with sector standards.
- Proactively identifying and shaping business opportunities, supporting go-to-market strategies to drive growth and innovation.
In addition to a Master's degree in economics, informatics or engineering or similar field, you should possess:
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, with in-depth knowledge of methodologies and tools (such as Prince-2, PMI, PMBOK, etc.), preferably in a public sector environment.
- Proven track record of delivering successful IT projects within tight deadlines and budget constraints.
- Previous experience in consulting is an advantage.
- Certifications such as Scrum Master, Agile Project Management, Cobit, ITIL, or TOGAF are assets.
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of Digital strategy.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple individual projects, optimize interconnections, and respond quickly to changing requirements and priorities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, change management, and storytelling skills.
- A natural inclination for innovation, entrepreneurship, and agility in dynamic environments.
- You confidently navigate AI topics and are able to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders, make ethically sound decisions and adapt to evolving technologies.
- Flexibility, resilience, and motivation to work on diverse projects, with fluency in French and English (Dutch is a plus).
