Driven by the desire to have a positive impact and contribute to society, you will join our enterprise risk & assurance public sector team. More concretely, you will help our public sector clients achieving their objectives by assisting them in improving their risk management/internal control system.
You will do this by conducting second line projects (establish, set-up and/or evaluate their risk/internal control management system) as well as third line projects (establishing risk based internal audit plans and execute internal audits). By doing this you improve the public entities’ strategy-execution, their daily operations, and so hereby you assist them in achieving their goals.
In your role, you will:
- Participate and/or lead risk management and internal audit assignments from the kick-off meeting all the way through the reporting phase. More concretely you will conduct client interviews, analyze documents, make recommendations in line with best practices, write reports and present results to the client.
- Coach junior colleagues in their career path but also on the job by reviewing and coordinating their work.
- Actively contribute to business development by writing proposals and contributing to the development of our (new) service offerings to continuously answer the needs of our public entities.
You have a master’s degree and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in risk management, internal audit, or process optimization. Experience in a public sector environment will be considered as a plus but enthusiasm and interest in the public sector is considered as a must.
You will take up responsibilities in assignments in which you will face clients, coach colleagues, analyze processes with focus on risks and controls and formulate practical recommendations. Therefore, we expect for you to have the following skills or the willingness to develop them:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail, you are curious
- The ability and willingness to challenge the status quo, you have a critical mindset
Capacity to work independently
As we will serve public entities, we expect you to be fluent in Dutch or French and be able to understand and express yourself in the other language.
