Becoming a (Senior) Data Engineer at KPMG Lighthouse will allow you to take part in complex data platform & analytics projects through their entire lifecycle. You will develop and extend your technical skills in rationalizing, migrating, and building (cloud) modern data platforms for multiple organizations.

As a (Senior) Data Engineer Consultant at KPMG, you will work on a variety of data-related projects across multiple industries, helping our clients optimize their data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll focus on designing and implementing scalable data solutions, ensuring that data is accessible, clean, and reliable. This is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative team, solving real-world business problems using the latest technologies and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand data requirements and business objectives
  • Build and manage data architectures that enable real-time analytics and reporting
  • Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deploy and manage data solutions
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing data systems for performance and scalability
  • Stay updated on emerging data technologies and best practices

Skills & Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, (business) engineering or any other relevant topic.
  • Minimum of 3 year of data engineering experience preferably with a professional services firm, an internal strategy/analytics group or similar environment.
  • General knowledge of cloud native computing, public hyperscalers (Azure is a plus)
  • You have basic knowledge in SQL, python, or any other programming language
  • You are an enthusiastic, driven, and proactive person, taking ownership and accountability in your work
  • You are a team player, and have a can-do mentality
  • You are interested in the bigger picture and able to think broader than your own capabilities.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and have English professional working proficiency
