At KPMG Belgium, we're at the forefront of assisting clients in their transactions. We're looking for an experienced and innovative Technology M&A lead to join our dynamic team and lead transformative projects of medium to large sizes.

As a Senior Manager in Technology M&A (Deals team), you will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients throughout the deal cycle. You will work on complex technology and digital transformation issues within leading M&A transactions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Conduct assessments and provide advice on Technology/IT aspects in due diligences. Create structured insights in a short timeframe.
  • Providing insights on technology aspects of the deal that are relevant to the client and readers of the Technology due diligence reports and explaining issues simply, highlighting the impact of technology on business strategy, operations and, ultimately, deal valuation.
  • Advising on technology aspects of integration, separation (carve outs) and optimization initiatives (e.g. synergy analysis) including the development of target operating models, understanding the current IT landscape, defining transitional service agreements, developing detailed plans, and supporting the implementation of such plans.
  • Evaluating & designing Digital & IT TOM (processes, people, service delivery model, governance)
  • Interacting with C-levels + Acting as C-level sounding board
  • Identifying business opportunities to further drive growth.
  • Leading and coaching the Technology M&A team to further drive growth.

Skills & Qualifications

In addition to a Master's degree in economics, finance, informatics or engineering or similar field, you should possess:

  • At least 8 years of relevant IT M&A experience in a large international company or (strategy) consulting/ professional services.
  • Ability to translate IT and technology experience in a transaction environment.
  • A natural inclination for innovation, entrepreneurship, and agility in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent change management, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Flexibility and motivation to work on diverse projects, with fluency in Dutch, French, and English.
  • Extensive experience in the transaction field and a proven ability to operate at deal/board level speed.
  • Cobit, ITIL certifications are an asset.
