The Belgian local Center of Excellence for Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Automation is looking for (Senior) UX/UI Designer. In that function, you will play an essential role in creating intuitive and impactful user experiences for data products, like dashboards, marketplaces, custom solutions within the data and AI domain:

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their reporting and data visualization requirements.
• Design and create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for data products.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate insights and enhance data understanding.
• Apply Customer Experience (CX) thinking and design mapping methodologies including the creation and utilization of personas to create user journeys and storyboards that optimize user engagement and satisfaction.
• Apply User-Centred Design (UCD) principles to optimize usability, accessibility, and engagement.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iteratively refine designs.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts and developers to integrate data-driven insights and interactive visualizations.
• Ensure designs align with brand guidelines and industry best practices for reporting and data visualization.
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and techniques related to PowerBI and data visualization.
• Communicate design concepts, rationale, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in a design-related field such as UI/UX design, information design, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience designing user interfaces for PowerBI dashboards, reporting tools, and websites and other data products.
• Ability to utilize data storytelling techniques to present complex data in a visually compelling and understandable manner.
• Proficiency in design tools such as and not limited to Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau or similar reporting tools, including data connections, visualizations, and interactive features.
• Experience with responsive design, ensuring seamless experiences across different devices and screen sizes.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate design decisions and concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• You are a fluent communicator in Dutch/French and English (spoken and written).
