KPMG Belgium is currently looking for a Junior Data & AI Advisor (Zaventem or Antwerp) to join our KPMG Lighthouse team – center of excellence around Data, AI and Emerging Technologies.

As a Junior Data & AI Advisor in the Lighthouse team, you will support our core services, which include:

  • AI Strategy & Transformation: Creating a vision and strategy, developing and implementing a transformation roadmap around data and AI.
  • Data Management and Digital Governance: Building trust in data by establishing governance, processes, and technologies for data management.
  • Business Intelligence and Analytics[AV1] [LB2] : Enabling businesses and people by delivering actionable data and insights to support decision-making.
  • Intelligent Automation and New Tech: Developing applications, automated workflows and operating models for sustainable human and AI co-existence by leveraging new technologies and driving innovation.
  • Digital Solution Architecture Development: Providing technical support to drive digital transformation and next-generation architectures.

 

Depending on interest and opportunities, you will typically provide support across various focus areas and responsibilities.

  • Your role will be highly varied and involves working in a supportive, young and dynamic team;
  • You will contribute to the growth of KPMG Lighthouse and participate in the development and implementation of our data-and AI-driven capabilities, mostly through impactful projects at clients and monitoring of evolutions in our domain;
  • You will be in regular contact with clients in various industries;
  • You will participate in interviews, brainstorms and workshops with business & technology teams on data and AI related topics;
  • You will help to translate business ambitions to data-and AI-driven initiatives and participate in their delivery;
  • You will leverage data-and AI-driven approaches to resolve business and automation issues, combining technical solutions (coding and scripting) with organizational design, role clarity, and governance;
  • You will work cross-functionally with business operations and business analysts to help them perform their duties more effectively and genuinely revolutionizing AI;
  • You will work with data-and AI-driven technologies across the value chain, leveraging our partnerships with Collibra, Microsoft, and Appian.

Skills & Qualifications

You will soon hold a Master’s degree in technological fields (e.g. computer science, informatics, industrial engineering, civil engineering, business analytics, data science, …) and have: 

  • Knowledge about data management, data & analytics, machine learning / AI and automation (have notion of cloud computing, agile; development, containerization …) 
  • Knowledge of common programming languages: Python, R, SAS, SQL, Java … 

While academic qualifications are important, there are several other main competences we highly value, including: 

  • A broad interest in how data & AI can help transform and improve business processes;
  • Strong affinity to apply data, analytics and AI to solve business challenges;
  • Strong analytical skills and make-it-happen mentality;
  • Enthusiasm about working in a project-based environment;
  • Eagerness to learn and make an impact;
  • Strong client orientation and being a real team player;
  • Strong communication skills in English and in Dutch or French;
  • A natural pro-activeness, ambition and high motivation.
