Function

Advisory - Junior Advisor

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of clients’ compliance with EU cyber & privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, EU AI Act, the Data Act, NIS2, DORA etc.).
  • Review cyber & privacy governance, AI governance, and data-sharing practices to identify gaps against regulatory requirements.
  • Support clients in developing practical compliance strategies aligned with evolving EU digital regulations.
  • Assist in implementing compliance measures, including data mapping, risk assessments, AI system documentation, and governance controls.
  • Work closely with legal, technical, and cyber teams to embed compliance-by-design in data, AI, and digital solutions.
  • Identify regulatory risks and propose clear, actionable mitigation steps.
  • Contribute to drafting and updating policies and procedures related to data protection, AI governance, data access/sharing, and cybersecurity.
  • Support clients in assessing and improving incident response processes for data breaches, cyber incidents, and AI system failures.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in law (with a focus on Technology, Data protection, Information Security). A first experience (internship) in a relevant position is considered a plus.
  • Good understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) concepts, especially in data, AI, and cybersecurity regulation.
  • Experience or aptitude for drafting and reviewing policies, procedures, and governance documentation is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with audits, assessments and compliance evaluations methodologies is considered a strong asset.
  • Language requirements: English & Dutch.
